Arturo Thunder Gatti was found dead early saturday (7/11/09)  in his resort hotel room in Porto de Galihnas Brasil.  While details are still emerging surrounding his death, Brazilian authorites have taken into custody his wife Amanda Rodrigues, who will likely be charged with Gatti’s murder.  Gatti recently retired in 2007 with a record of 40-9 (31 KOs) he won the IBF super featherweight title in 1995 and later the WBC junior welterweight crown in 2004.  Known as the human highlight film, Arturo Gatti will be remembered as one of the most exciting, toughest, entertaining and beloved fighters of his generation.
